Hello everyone,

Please forgive me for any mistake in my spelling, I’m writing from Portugal and English it’s not my native language.

Let me start by thanking to Ion Saliu, kind mathematical genius-At large, for having created his site.
His methods completely revolutionized the way I gamble at the Casinos for the better, let me be very clear about that.

I have been using Ion’s method for playing blackjack, and like I previously referred I am very happy with the results.
But unfortunately in Europe I’m encountering more and more frequently casino’s that have a CSM (continuous shuffling machine) at their Blackjack tables.

Can the method created by Ion be used in these tables? Or when we face such an opponent our best course of action is to go to a Roulette table, and use Ion Saliu´s methods for beating Roulette, and forget about Blackjack in that casino?

Best Regards,

Pedro

What’s the difference? If honesty is not an issue, the mechanical shuffle should be better than handy-dandy (I heard some blackjack dealers still dare to cheat!) The more thoroughly shuffled the deck of cards, the better the randomization! I would like to see the cards before shuffling, though (the washing).

If the game is honest (absolutely no cheating possible), gambling is all about the STREAKS. As I said many times, theory of probability is, in fact, the science of streaks.

Esnefed Ipsy Dawa proposed an interesting game quite a few years back. It was as simple as gaming can be. It was a hands-on-put-your-money-where-your-mouth-is challenge to Esnefed Ipsy Dawa’s detractors.

“Let’s coin the toss…any currency would do. You detract me by saying that there is no past in gambling, therefore the number of trials is irrelevant…meaningless…mumbo-jumbo… Well, then, the game goes like this. You flip the coin once and only once. When my turn comes, I toss the same coin up to five times. If I win in the first flip, I will stop and yield you the root-of-all-evil-to-date. If I lose, I will toss it the 2nd time. Again, I’ll stop if I win the second time around. If I lose, I’ll flip the coin for the 3rd time… As per above, I’ll repeat the coin toss only if I lose. So, the maximum number of trials for me would be five. Look, I am not talking Infinity here! By contrast, you keep telling me that I would face the adverse outcome ad infinitum! If I bet heads, you keep telling me that tails would come up 10 times in a row…one hundred consecutive times…a thousand times in a row…millions of consecutive times…ad infinitum… For the coin has no memory… For what happens in the past has no influence on the future… I only ask for up to five trials! You will have not nearly enough money to stop my insatiable winning!”

Just five trials as in Dawa’s example would be absolutely devastating against any house, or bank, no matter how rich! It’s all about the mathematics of streaks — also known as theory of probability. There are them very vocal stupiditiots out there who call me cuckoo for my theory of streaks! I love it! But look at these mathematical facts, undeniably valid and demonstrable by formulas. And, of course, validated by real-life experiments.

It is obvious to any person that the result of any probability experiment is a string of various streaks of various lengths. The most common are single streaks; e.g. H(eads),T(ails),H,T,H,T… There are 128 such streaks in 1024 coin tosses: 128 for heads and 128 for tails. Next, double-streaks: HH,T,H,TT… There are 64 such streaks for heads and 64 for tails. 32 triple streaks for heads and 32 for tails. HHH,T,H,TTT… 16 quadruple streaks for heads and 16 for tails. HHHH,T,H,TTTT… 8 quintuple streaks for heads and 8 for tails. HHHHH,T,H,TTTTT.

What happens here is this. Esnefed Ipsy Dawa adds to his 128 single winnings 64+32+16+8 = 120 winning tosses! Almost double! The opponent, meanwhile, loses 120 of his theoretical wins! From the perspective of the Fundamental Formula of Gambling (FFG), Ipsy Dawa’s chance of winning is over 95%! Who wouldn’t play such a game? The online casinos play it (or a version of it) consistently, especially when the gambler increases the bet dramatically!

I have settled for a more modest request to my detractors and/or competitors in the gambling field. Also, this is my challenge to the casinos, too.

“You deprecate me for my theory of streaks? Fine and dandy! The trials have no influence in your mouth-foaming vociferation — right? Well, then, let’s play blackjack this way. You play one and only one hand. I play just one more. If I lose my first hand, I play another one. Of course, if I win the first hand I just say ‘Thanks’, take my money, and let you play your hand! And so on…until you go bankrupt…for sure… But since I am a true gentleman, I will tell you right now that I’m gonna win 75% of the hands!”

They don’t want to put the money where their mouths are! Instead, they put foam…and keep blasting at my streak theory. Why don’t they accept my challenge? You asking me? I am asking you! BRRRRRRRRAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

You can read a whole more on the theory of gambling streaks, especially regarding blackjack:

Hello Ion,

Thank you very much for your answer, as usual your mathematical logic it’s perfect.

As you probably have guessed from my reaction to a CSM, I was once a card counter. Or was I a rainbow catcher?
Well I was definitely another source of income for casinos, something that stopped when I began to use your methods.
I have my bank statements to prove it, and I like to look at them to see the difference from the times I didn’t know about your site.

Even though I like maths, my skill in that field doesn’t even compare to yours.
So when I had this old conditioned reaction of a card counter popping up whenever i had to face a CSM, I thought it would be better to ask how to proceed to the person that created the gambling methods I use, Ion Saliu.

Thank you for the tip about being present when they do the “washing”, and yes, for me in any casino of the world, honesty and not being cheated is definitely a concern.

I know that many “gambling gurus” write in their “best sellers” or newsletters that in the present the probabilities of being cheated by a brick and mortar casino are almost inexistent.
Well, I’m no gambling Guru nor do I sell my advice to others, but I have some “funny” stories that happened to me in land based casinos which definitely make me be very careful with not being cheated.

Do I believe they cheat on us? Ho yes I do!
So I guess all the casinos spies that like to be around in these forums will have something to throw back at me, I’m used to that.

I have played Blackjack the way you describe in your answer with a friend of mine. And the results were…exactly the ones you predicted; I wonder why I was not surprised.

And come on Ion, no casino or gambling Guru will ever accept tour challenge, unless they will be willing to loose a lot of money, or stopping the “gambling guru” career and go back to the basics and be a simple gambler, maybe this time they would use your methods and would become a dam good gambler!

Many thanks to the kind mathematical genius for all the beautiful information you make available at your site, you are a guru amongst vulgar mathematicians and I will not even mention the jealous people that like to attack you, and being so, you really deserve the title of the real “Dawai-Lama of gambling” At-Large, hope you will be At-large for many years into future.

Best regards,

P.
